About the club

FiG aims to foster collaboration, enhance visibility, and ultimately create a welcoming community for first-generation medical students who share similar experiences and obstacles during medical training. Our goal is to help our members access resources and guidance through the unique challenges that they may face, to create a network of mutual support between learners at different levels and to host events that allow students to network with mentors who were once in their shoes.
