About the club
The ongoing overdose crisis, along with the deep-rooted inequalities and harms caused by the criminalization and stigmatization of drug use, highlight some of the most urgent challenges facing our society today.
In the face of such realities, it’s only natural to ask: How can I help?
Harm reduction offers an answer. It’s a compassionate, evidence-based approach to health that meets individuals where they are—promoting autonomy, dignity, and collaboration while fostering confidence and empowerment.
The Addiction and Harm Reduction Interest Group (AHRIG) aims to satisfy your curiosity, to promote interest in the field of addiction and harm reduction, and to prepare future health professionals to deal effectively and compassionately with these areas in their practice as physicians. Whether with hands-on training in harm reduction tools and techniques or high-impact seminars by professionals on the ground and in the field, you’re sure to learn something new!
Join us to be part of the change.
