Women’s Health Awareness Movement (WHAM)

About the club

WHAM, the Women’s Health Awareness Movement, is a student-led initiative in official partnership with PROact and EndoCARES. These are two hospital-based organisations at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) whose goals are centred around women’s health.

WHAM’s mission is to improve healthcare for cisgender women, trans women, and non-binary individuals. Through awareness campaigns and fundraising events, we address critical health issues of women in general as well as shed light on specific feminine health topics such as endometriosis, preeclampsia, uterine cancer, polycystic ovarian syndrome etc. We hope to foster a community that champions the health needs of all women and gender-diverse individuals.
