Hi Med 1’s!
For those who I have not yet met my name is Syd, and I am running for the position of your
class treasurer.
I am taking the opportunity to run for student council this year in order to get to know you all a
bit better and connect beyond the little boxes on zoom.
I have relevant past experience on student council that I believe will be an asset for this role.
During the 2019-2020 academic year, I held the position of VP Finance for the Experimental
Medicine Graduate Student Society (EMGSS). During my tenure in this position, I secured
funding, managed the budget, kept detailed and organized records, collaborated with and
advised the council on financial matters. If elected Med-1 treasurer I will use my experience and
knowledge to optimize our funds and ensure that we are able to have many FUN (and safe)
events throughout the year.
With my past experience and my willingness to devote my time to serve the needs of the
student body, I hope you will consider me as an excellent candidate for the position of Med-1
Treasurer.
