What is MAPS?
One of EdCom\’s academic initiatives is the MSS Academic Peer Support (MAPS) taskforce, whose mandate is to support students in FMD that are in a remedial situation in matching with a peer tutor to help them review for the remedial. This process is confidential and allows a student in a remedial situation to select a peer tutor of their choice in a bank of peer tutors from Med-1 and Med-2.

L’une des initiatives académiques d’EdCom est le groupe de travail MSS Academic Peer Support (MAPS), dont le mandat est de soutenir les étudiants du FMD en situation de remédiation en les jumelant avec un tuteur pair afin de les aider à se préparer à la remédiation. Ce processus est confidentiel et permet à un étudiant en situation de remédiation de choisir un tuteur pair parmi une banque de tuteurs pairs provenant de Med-1 et de Med-2.
How do I sign up ?
Tutors:
The sign-up form linked below is open throughout the year. Students can select which blocks they feel most comfortable tutoring and will receive an email at the start of the blocks they are tutoring reminding them that they have signed-up as tutors.
They will have a chance then to withdraw their names as tutors for that block if they do not feel that they will be available to tutor after all.
All tutors have to sign a confidentiality agreement included in the sign-up form below. Note that any breach in the confidentiality agreement will result in immediate dismissal from the MAPS program.

Tutees:
Students in FMD from both campuses will be contacted via email when final grades are posted to one45. The email will be sent by a member of MSS council and include details on how and when to apply for MAPS tutoring. Please refer to your McGill email for more information.
Comment puis-je m’inscrire ?
Tuteurs / Tutrices:
Le formulaire d’inscription lié ci-dessous est ouvert tout au long de l’année. Les étudiants peuvent sélectionner les blocs pour lesquels ils se sentent le plus à l’aise pour offrir du tutorat et recevront un courriel au début des blocs qu’ils ont choisis, leur rappelant qu’ils se sont inscrits comme tuteurs.
Ils auront alors la possibilité de retirer leur nom comme tuteur pour ce bloc s’ils estiment finalement ne pas être disponibles.
Tous les tuteurs doivent signer une entente de confidentialité incluse dans le formulaire d’inscription ci-dessous. Veuillez noter que toute violation de cette entente de confidentialité entraînera une exclusion immédiate du programme MAPS.

Étudiants tutorés:
Les étudiants en FFMMD des deux campus seront contactés par courriel lorsque les notes finales seront publiées sur one45. Le courriel sera envoyé par un membre du conseil MSS et comprendra des détails sur la façon et le moment de faire une demande de tutorat MAPS. Veuillez consulter votre courriel McGill pour plus d’informations.
