About the club
The MSS Persian Students’ Association (MPSA) is a Common Interest club dedicated to fostering community, cultural exchange, and mutual support among Persian-identifying medical students at McGill. Our mission is to provide an inclusive, welcoming space that celebrates Persian heritage, language, and traditions while facilitating cross-cultural dialogue within the McGill Medicine community.
Through social gatherings, cultural celebrations, educational events, and academic mentorship, we aim to build a vibrant network where students can connect, collaborate, and thrive. The MPSA also seeks to increase cultural literacy within the medical field by introducing peers to Persian history, traditions, and patient perspectives, essential skills for providing culturally competent care. Whether through celebrating Nowruz, hosting Persian film nights, or engaging in discussions about identity in medicine, the MPSA welcomes all students interested in learning about or engaging with Persian culture.
